Be it known that 1, JOHN C. DUEBER, acitiill of the United States, and a resident of anton, county of Stark, State of Ohio, have [vented a new and original Design for a fatch-Movement Plate, of which the follow- 1g is a full, clear, and exact description, refrence being had to the accompanying draw 1g, making part of this specification.
The invention relates to a new design for 'atch-inovement plates; and it consists of a esign of the configuration and ornamentaon shown in the accompanying drawing, in 'hich I have illustrated my invention in a up plan view.
The leading features of my design consist f the top plate A, the barrel-bridge B, and 1e balance-cock C, damasked with a series fburnished circles having the appearance f concave grooves or corrugations. The rooves or corrugations of the top plate A eminence at the center of the plate and cover he entire surface of the plate, each circle beng formed from the same center or pivot, uteach succeeding circle being of a greater diameter. The balance-cock C is burnished in the same manner, and the circles thereon conform in center and diameter to those upon the top plate.
Upon the barrel-bridge B the burnished circles commence at both ends and run across the plate from top to bottom, meeting at a point above the center of the plate, as shown. The circles may have either the appearance of being concave or convex and may be of any desired width, the object being when the movement is completed and the balancewheel and spring are in motion to produce a pleasing and desirable effect of scintillation, giving the appearance of motion to all parts of the plate.
\Vhat I claim is The design for a watch-movement plate, as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand this 13th day of August, A. D. 1897.
JOHN C. DUEBER. Witnesses:
