DESIGN FOR A SPRAYER ATTACHMENT FOR WASHING-MACHINES.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 27,868, dated November 16, 1897.
Application flied September 27, 1897. Serial No. 653,259. Term of patent 3% years.
To all whom it may concern.-
lie it known that I, WILLIAM T. insso- NETTE, a citizen of the United States, residing at Temple, in the county of Bell and State of Texas, have invented a new and original Design for a Sprayer Attachment for \Vashing- Machines, of which the following is a specifi cation.
This invention relates to a new and origi nal design for a sprayer attachment for washing-machines, and it has for its object to provide a design of this character that shall be both useful and ornamental.
The leading feature of the design resides in a conical base-plate having at its apex a short circular spout projection provided with perforations in its top, acirculargroup of upright inclined tubes arising from the base-plate near its periphery, and a circular band extending around the group of tubes and connected with the same at their upper ends.
A minor feature of the design resides in providing the conical base-plate with a pair of pendent circular concentric flanges, a central circular opening within the plane of the inner flange, and a circular series of openings arranged between the two flanges. Another minor feature of the design resides in providing the inner pendent circular flange with a peripheral series of: openings and in providing the upright tubes at their inner upperends with approximately semicircular openings.
In the drawings, Figure 1 is a perspective view of a sprayer attachment for washing-machines embodying the herein-described design. Fig. 2 is a vertical sectional view there of. Fig. 3 is a bottom plan view.
Referring to the drawings, the numeral 1 designates a shallow conical base-plate provided with a peripheral pendent flange 2 and an inner smaller pendent circular flange 3, eoncen trio with the flange 2,and provided with a peripheral series of openings 4 therein. The said base-plate 1 is provided within the plane of the inner llange 3 with a central eircular opening 5, and between the two flanges 23 and 3 with a circular series of openings (3. On its upper side and at the apex thereof the conical base-plate l is provided with a short circular spout projection 7, having perforations 7 in its flat top, and a circular group of upright inclined tubes 8 arise from the base-plate near the periphery thereof and in line with the openings 6. The said upright inclined tubes 8 are provided at their inner upper ends with approximately semicircular openings 0, and the entire group of said upright tubes is encircled by a circular band connected with the tubes at their upper ends.
\Vhat I claim is- The design for a sprayer attachment for washing machines, herein shown and described.
