JOHN V. IEEEKMAN, OF PLAINFIELD, NEW JERSEY.
DESIGN FOR A LUBRlCATiNG-BOX FOR FRICTION-DRUMS.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design NO. 25,202, dated February 25, 1896.
Application filed July 5, 1895. Serial No. 555,068- Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, JOHN V. IiEEKMAN, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of Ilainfield, in the county of Union and State of New Jersey, have invented a certain new .hd useful Design for a Lubricatingdlox for the Shifting Pin of a Friction Rope-Drum, of which the following is a specification.
Figure 1 is an elevation of one end. Fig. 2
is a plan view, and Fig. 3 is an elevation of the opposite end.
The leading feature of my design consists in a side and bottom inelosure and a bridgepiece spanning said inclosure, said parts be- 3 ing provided at the front end with an inwardly-projecting flange having a central opening and being provided at the rear end with an opening in alignment with but smaller than said first-named opening.
a is the side and bottom inclosure, which is preferably cylindrical in its general contour and provided with a top opening, b, of which I) is the lid.
0 is an annular flange projecting inward from one edge of the inclosure a and forming the circular central opening, d.
e is an annular flange extending inward from the opposite end of inelosure a and forming the circular central opening, f, concentric with the opening (Z, but smaller than the same.
g, h and i is a bridge-piece spanning substantially the structure described in the last paragraph. This bridge-piece is perforated atj by an opening concentric with the openings d and f. The portions h and i are also perforated parallel with the perforation j by perforations k and I.
That I claim is The design for a lubricating-box of a friction-drum herein shown and described.
