DESIGN FOR A CHIMNEY-CAP.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 22,914, dated November 21, 1893.
Application filed ()ctoher 7, 1893- Serial No. 487,505. Term of patent 7 years.
Be it known that we, \YILLIAH J. KENM- MAN and WILLIAM C. CAREY, citizens of the United States, residing ntAvoen, in the county of Lnzerne and State of Pennsylvania, have invented a certain new and original Design for Chimney-Caps, of which thefollowiug is a specification, reference being hnd therein to the accompanying drawings, in which Figure l is a perspective \iBW of the cap, and Fig. 2 a Vertical sectional view of the same.
The leading feature of on r design is a reetangular-cap having a central opening and provided entirely around its edges with a depend ing continuous flange and on its upper surface with a series of short arrow-pointed posts, as more fully hereinafter set forth.
In the drawings, A designates the metal cap, which is rectangular in shape and has a rcctangularopening in its center. A depend iug flange n is formed on the outer edges of the cap and extends continuously entireiy around the same. Around the openingon the upper surface is secured a series of short posts, which are slightly rounded at their lower ends and arrow-pointed at their upper ends, as shown.
Having thus fully described our invention, what we claim is The design for a. chimney cap herein shown and described.
