DESIGN FOR A TUBE FOR BURNERS.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 27,720, dated October 12, 1897. Application filed August 21,1897. Serial No. 649,085. Term of patent 7 years.
To (LIZ whom it may concern Be it known that I, LEE '1. ALTON, a citizen of the United States, residing at Brooklyn, county of Kings,and State of New York have invented and produced a new and original Design for Tubes for Incandescent or Bunsen Burners, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part of this specification, in which Figure 1 is a front elevation, and Fig. 2 a sectional elevation on the line a; 00, Fig. 1, of a tube embodying my invention.
The invention consists in a tube co1nprising a series of superposed cylinder-sections connected by a series of cone frusta.
In the drawings, 1 2 3 4 5 indicate the su perposed series of tube-sections, each one of larger diameter than the one below it, the one of largest diameter being at the top, and
the one of smallest diameter at the bottom, and at (l 7 S 9 is indicated the cone frusta connecting the adjacent edges of the cylinder-sections, the cone frusta being inverted, the largest diameter being uppermost. All of the parts are joined together and form an unbroken and continuous tube comprising the alternating cylinder-sections and cone frusta.
Having described my invention, I claim- The design for a tube for incandescent or Bunsen burners, substantially as herein shown and described.
