DESIGN FOR A JAR.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 33,417, dated October 23, 1900.

To all whom, it may concern.-

Be it known that I, WILLIAM: A. LORENZ, a citizen of the United States, residing at Hartford, in the county of Hartford and State of Connecticut, have invented a new and original Design for a Jar, of which the followingis a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof.

Figure 1 of the drawings is a plan View, and Fig. 2 a side view, of a jar or receptacle embodying my design.

The snbstantially-cylindrieal body 10 of the jar merges toward its upperend into a sligh tlytapering or conical portion interrupted by an annular recess 12, which separates the conical portion into two zones 11 and 13, the latter of which is narrow and substantially cylindrical. The recess 12 is substantially semicircular, its upper and lower surfaces forming definite angles with the surfaces of the zones 11 and 13.

Having described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to obtain by Let ters Patent, is-

The design for a jar, as herein shown and described.
