DESIGN FOR A MANDOLIN-BODY.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 27,559, dated August 24, 1897.

Application filed February 18, 1897. Serial No. 624,055. Term of patent 14 years.

Be it known that I, EDWARD l. lIowE, a citizen of the United States,rcsiding in atertown, in the county of Middlesex and State of Massachusetts, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Mandolin- Body,of which the followingis a. specification, reference being made to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.

Figure 1 of the drawings shows a perspective view of my new and original design fora mandolin-hody; Fig. 2, a longitudinal section on line 01.1" of Fig. 1; and Fig. 3, a cross-seetion on line y y, Fig. 1.

The leading feature of my design consists in a lute-shaped top having a longitudinal central swell.
