DESIGN FOR A NECKTlE-HOLDER.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 27,499, dated August 10, 1897.
Application filed July 3,1897. Serial No. 643,462. Term of patent '7 years.
To all whom it may colwcrlt:
Be it known that I, CnAELEs EvERETTE SMITH, a citizen of the United States, residing i at New York, in the county of New York and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for-NecktielIolders, of which the following is a speeif'r cation, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.
In the drawings forming part of this specification, Figure l is a plan viewof a necktieholder, showing my new and original design; and Fig. 2,51 side view thereof, these two views being deemed suflicicnt to fully illustrate the design.
My newly-designed necktie-holder is composed of spring-wire bent into the shape hereinafter described; and the leading or material feature of my design consists, as shown wardly, as shown at B, and then downwardly to form parallel downwardly-direeted side arms C, and then forwardly, as shown at E, and then upwardly and slightly inwardly to 1 form supplemental spring-arms F, and then inwardly, as shown at G, and downwardly to form parallel prongs II, which are pointed at their lower ends, as shown at K.
Having fully described my new and origil nal design, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, 1s
The design for a necktie-holder herein shown and described.
In testimony that I claim the foregoing as my invention I have signed my name, in presonce of the subscribing witnesses, this 2d day I of July, 1897.
