DESIGN FOR HAIR-FRONT.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 12,246, dated May 3, 1881,

Application filed April 1, 1881. Term of patent 7 years.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, JEAN R. KRAUSE, of the city, county, and State of New Yorlghave invented a. new and original Design for Hair- Fronts, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, making part of this specification.

The nature of my invention is clearly shown in the accompanying drawing, to which refer ence is made.

The object of this invention is to furnish an improved design of hair-front for ladies wear; and it consists of a hair-front having centrally parted loops and a series of scallops arranged below the same.

A A in the drawing represent two symmetrically-arranged loops, which touch each other at a. point in line with the parting of the hair. The loops A are connected by a transverse portion of hair, B, over which and the rear parts of the loops the natural hair of the head is combed, so that only the front part of the loops is visible. The front portion of the loops Ais extended downward and forward and bent into side loops, 0, which terminate in a series of symmetrical scallops, D, placed closely to each other, the latter imparting a very ornamental finish to the front.

Having thus described my invention, I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent The design for a hair-front, consisting of center loops, A A, side loops, 0 O, and scalloped side portions, D, substantially as shown and described.
