The design consists of a series of scallops, which are united at their hutt'ends and made to spread from said butt-ends to their tips in the form of a fan, with curved sides and round ed points.
The drawing represents a plan of my hairornament.
In this drawing, the letterA represents the head, from which extends a series of scallops, 13 B B B B B The butt-ends of these scallops are close together, and they are fastened in the head A. From their hutt ends they spread open, and their tips are rounded off, as shown, their sides being connected by curved hairs. The outer sides of the extreme scallops B B are curved outward, and the entire ornament has the appearance of a fan.
