IMPROVEMENT IN BOSOM-FORMS.

Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 165,842, dated July 20, 18.75; application filed January 22, 1875.

To all whom 'it may concern:

Be it known that I, ELIZABETH LEETCH, of Detroit, in the county of Wayne and State oi' Michigan, have invented an Improvement in Bosom-Forms, of which the following is a specification The nature of my invention relates to an improvement in bosom-forms of that class which have a spiral spring interposed between the outer and inner linings, to give the form the elasticity required to render it natural in appearance, and its object is to so construct the forms as to avoid the discomfort heretofore experienced by the wearers of this class of bosom-forms.

Figure l is a perspective view ofa pair of bosom-forms, looking at it from the rear. Fig. 2 is a cross-section at x x.

In the drawing, A represents a hollow or gathered at the edges and stitched to the edge of the ring A; between it and the spring-cover D a thin layer of' curled hair is interposed, to round out the surface and to prevent the spring from showing through. A pair vot' these forms are connected by tacking them to a chemisette-front, F.

I am Well aware that bosom-forms having a spiral spring in each have been largely` worn,

vbut have given the wearers dissatisfaction on ELlZABETH LEETCH.
