DESIGN FOR A SPOKE-PIN.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 27,246, dated June 22, 1897.
Application filed May 7, 1897- Serial No. 635,592. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that LCURTIs IIUSSEY YEEDER, a citizen of the United States, residing in the city and county of Hartford, in the State of Connecticut, have invented a certain new and original Design for Spoke-Pins, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part hereof.
My invention relates to a design for spokepins such as are secured to the spokes of bicycle-wheels for the purpose of actuating eyclometers; and it consists in a spoke-pin having the shape and configuration substantially as shown in the accompanying drawings, in Which Figure 1 is an elevation showing one side of a spoke-pin which embodies my design. Fig. 2 is an edge view of the same as seen from the right in Fig. 1. Fig. 3 is an elevation showing the reverse side of the same, and Fig. 4 is an edge view of the same as seen from the bottom in Fig. 1.
As will be seen by reference to the drawings, the outline of the bodyof the pin is substantially a parallelogram with rounded ends and a rounded projection at about the middle of one side. There are apertures a a in the rounded end portions of the parallelogram, and in one side of the body is a depression 1), extending transversely across the body to the base of the projection c, and upon the opposite side of the body is a corresponding rib or ridge d. The projection c is slightly offset from the plane of the main portion 6 of the body, and a projection f is substantially vertical to the face of the projection c.
