DESIG N. uo. 34,|37. Patented Feb. 26, mm.
E. MERCIER. BICYCLE wmzucu.
(Application fiXed Feb. 1, 1901.)
UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
EDWARD MEROIER, OF SPRINGFIELD, MASSACHUSETTS.
DESIGN FOR A BICYCLE-WRENCH.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 7, dated February 1901 Application filed February 1,1901. Serial No. 45,659. T r of patent ygars.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that LEDWARD MEROIER,a citizen of the United States, residing at Springfield, in the county of Hampden and State of Massachusetts, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Bicycle- Vrenches, but particularly adapted to the manipulation of the spokes and .contiguous parts of bicycle-wheels, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof.
Figure 1 is a plan View of a bicycle-spoke wrench, showing my new design. Fig. 2 is an edge View of said wrench.
As shown in the drawings, the leading features of my design consist in a flat wrenchbody having a curved form whose opposite borders converge from the head thereof toward the opposite end, the head having a curved border, the wider part of said body having an oblong opening 2 therein whose borders are not parallel and the narrower extremity of the wrench having a tapering slot 3 therein. The extremities of the parts on each side of said tapering slot are beveled to produce thin extremities of said parts.
In the opposite borders of the wrench, about midway between the extremities thereof, are the curved indentations 4 4.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
The design for a wrench for bicycle parts as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I have signed my name to this specification in the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
EDWARD MERCIER.
