UNITED STATES HERMAN C. G. LUYTIES,
DESIGN FO OF ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI.
R A BOTTLE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 26,877, dated April 13, 1897.
Application filed February 17, 1897. Serial No. 623.884. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concerm Be it known thatI, HERMAN C. G. LUYTIES, a citizen of the United States, residing at the city of St. Louis, in the State of Missouri, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Bottles, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.
Figure I illustrates a side elevation of my design, and Fig. II illustrates a horizontal section taken along the line 11 II of Fig. I.
1 1 are the broader sides of the bottle, 2 is a flat narrower side of said bottle, and 3 3 are flat bevels between the sides 1 1 and side 2.
4 is the second narrower side, which, instead of being flat, is semicircular, as is shown in the sectional View.
5 is the neck of the bottle, which, instead of discharging on a line'parallel to the direction of the planes of the sides, is bent at right angles to the said narrower sides and in the direction of the side 2.
The leading features of my design consist in, first, the neck of the bottle parallel to the planes of the broader sides and at right angles to the planes of the narrower sides and in the direction of the fiat narrow side 2; second, in the side 4, opposite the discharge end of the neck 5, curved in form, as is shown in Fig. 11; third,in the side 2 flat, and in beveling the surfaces 3 between the side 2 and the sides 1 1.
I claim as my iu\'cntioi1 The design for a bottle substantially as herein shown and described.
HERMAN U. G. LI'Y'lII-IS.
