DESIGN FOR CANE FABRIC.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 26,874, dated April 6, 1897. Application filed February 18,1897. Serial No 624,053 Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern;
lie it known that I, HENRY B. owns, a citizen of the United States, residing in Michigan (ity, in the county of La lort'e and State of Indiana, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Cane Fabrics, of which the following is a specification, and which is illustrated in the accompanying drawing, showing a face view of a small piece of fabric with my design applied.
Cane fabric containing my design has rela lively-narrow close w0ven stripes A, alternating with a series of relatively-wide open-mesh stripes B. ries of parallel strips o arranged close together and divided up into short lengths a" by a series of cross-strips Each stripe 1% has a series of pairs of strips 1), forming continuations of the strips a and these are crossed by diagonally-arranged strips b, I
which, with the strips b and the strips b run- Each stripe A is made up of a seonal figures .r.
The leading, feature of my design is thin-ilternately-arrangcd narrow close-woven and relatively-wide opewmesh stripes, the former being made up of parallel strips arranged close together and divided up into short sections by cross-strips and the latter containing strips arranged at right angles to each other and crossed by diagonal strips, producing a series of rows of hexagonal figures 41-.
I claim The design for cane fabric substantially as herein shown and described.
