DESIGN FOR FIRE-BRICK.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 33,836, dated January 1, 1901.

Application filed December 3, 1900. Serial No. 38,568. Term of patent 14. years.

To all whom it may concern..-

Be it known that I, J AFEW S. VAN BUREN, a citizen of the United States, residing at Albany, in the county of Albany and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Fire-Brick; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming a part thereof.

My invention is a new and useful design for a fire-brick; and it consists in the novel features hereinafter described, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, which illustrates in perspective my design.

My design consists of a brick having a recess A in one of its lateral faces, provided with an upwardly-extending arched face A, extending above the base-line of the brick throughout its length, said arched face extending from a point adjacent to one end of the brick to a point adjacent to the other end, the bottom face B of the brick lying at one side of said recess A and provided with a recess 0, having an u pwardly-extending arched face G, having its chord shorter than the length of the brick and having portions of its length out of the horizontal plane of the chord of the arched face A.

What I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is

The design for a fire-brick, substantially as herein shown and described.
