DESIGN FOR CARPET.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 25,904, dated August 4, 1896. Application filed June 18, 1896. Serial No. 596,070. Term of patent 3i years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, HENRY IW. PARTON, of Yonkers, county of Westchester, State of New York, have invented and produced a certain new and original Design for Carpets, fully described and represented in the following specification and the accompanying drawing, formingr a part of the same.
The design is intended to be worked into or upon carpets or similar fabrics; and I do hereby declare that the drawing accompanying this specification conveys to any one skilled in the art of carpet weaving and manufacture a clear understanding of the same and is sufficient to enable such person to use my invention.
The design is characterized by the flowerheads A on leafed stems B, bearing small flower-clusters C with the curved ornamentation D, having a checked or lace-like appearance and forming open or uuornameuted spaces on the ground E.
The design may be applied in a variety of colors or combination of colors.
Ihat I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The design for carpets, substantially as shown and described.
