DESIGN FOR A TIRE-VALVE CAP.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 25,774, dated July 14, 1896.
Application filed May 26, 1896. Serial No, 593,186. Term of patent 14 years.

13citknownthatLGEORGEILRSUHRAHER, a cit izen of theUnited States, residing in New York, in the county and State of New York, have invented and produced a certain new and original Design for Tire -Val ve Caps, of: which the following is a specification.
The new design relates to the shape of tirevalve caps.
The new design is shown in the accompanying drawings, in which- Figure 1 is a side elevation of the cap; and Fig. 3 is a perspective view thereof, showing the top and side of the cap.
The distinctive features of the new design are, as shown in the drawings, a smooth cylindrical band A, an abrupt shoulder B below this band, a wide serrated annular band C above the band A and of greater radial projection than the latter, an annular smooth top part D, shown as slightly convex, bulging, and tapering, and. a smooth cylindrical protubew ance It at the center thereof. The part E is concentric with the other parts of the cap and of much smaller diameter.
The band C has a peculiar roughened appearance and is of greater diameter than the adjacent parts. It is distinctive in appearance. The wide smooth cylindrical part A beneath this band is in striking contrast to it. The smooth wide annular top part D and the slender upward projection E, with its cylindrical sides and flat top, are distinctive and make a marked contrast to the rough band C.
