DESIGN FOR A CYCLOMETER-CASING.
To all whom it 11111, mace/-11..-
Be it known that I, EDWIN llAR'l, of Waterbury, in the county of. New Haven and in the State of Connecticut, have invented and 5 produced a new and original. Design fora (lyelolneter-Gasing; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, in whieh- Figurel is a perspective view of my cyclometer-casing, and Fig. 2 is an end YlGW thereof.
Letters of like name and kind refer to like parts in each of the figures.
The object of my invention is to provide a new shape or design of a casing for eyclometers for use more especially on bicycles; and to this end said invention consists in the design for the casing of a cyclometer, substan- 2o tially as hereinafter specified.
The leading feature of my design is the shape or form of the casing in cross-section, such being flat or aplane surface on one side, and arched or curved eonvexly on the oppo- 2 5 site side. As shown in the drawings, the hottom of the casing A is Hat and thetop arched or curved convexly, the curve being a semicircle, whose ends merge into straight or plane surfaces that form the casing sides. The ends of the casing are flat. Thus the general shape of the casing is semieylindrieal.
The sight-openings for enabling the indexwheels of the registering mechanism to be seen are provided in the curved top, and, of course, suitable means, not necessary to be shown, are provided for the attachment of. the casing with its inclosed mechanism to a bicycle.
Having thus described my invention what I claim is- The design for a eye-lometer-casing, substantially as set forth.
