CHARLES L. DEPOLLIER, OF BROOKLYN, NEW YORK.
DESIGN FOR A WATCHCASE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 25,398, dated April 14, 1896.
Application filed January 9, 1896. Serial No. 574,913. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, CHARLES L. DEPOLLIER, a citizen of the United States, residing at Brooklyn, in the county of Kings, State of New York, have invented and produced a. new and original Design for \Vatehcases, of which the following is a. specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, showing a wntchcase having my design applied thereto.
Figure 1 is a. fa ce view of a wntehcnse having my design applied thereto. Fig. 2 is an edge view thereof.
The leadingfeatnre of m y design consists of a Watchcaise in which the lids or backs are eoneavo-eonvex in shape, although much flatter or more shallow than the lids or backs of ordinary cases, and from the lower rounding portion of which lids extends a raised bead, the ease center upon which said backs rest or fit being flat or straight in cross-section, in contradistinction to being curved or outwardly bulged, thus giving to the case the combined effect of an ordinary and abox case.
Referring to the drawings, A is the watchcase center, which, in crossseetion, is straight or flat, in eontradistinction to being curved or outwardly bulged, as is ordinarily the case.
B B are the two lids or backs which, while they are concavo-convex in shape, yet are comparatively flat. Around the outer edge of these lids or backs B and at the point of meeting or joining the center A are raised beads C, which extend slightly beyond the case center, as elearlyshown in Fig. 2.
Having fully described my invention, what I desire to secure by Design Letters Patent The design for a wntehease as herein shown and described.
CHARLES L. DEPOLLIER. Vitnesses:
F. S. KENNEDY, J. F. FLAGG.
