DESIGN FOR A SHELL FOR CARTRIDGES.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 25,611, dated June 9, 1896.
'Application filed March 16, 1896. Serial No. 583,471. Term of patent 14 years.
I0 all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, JOHN GARDNER, of New Haven, in the county of New Haven and State of Connecticut, have invented a new Design for PapenShell Cartridges; and I do hereby declare the following, when taken in connection with the accompanying drawing and the letters of reference marked thereon, to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, and which said drawing constitutes part of this specification, and represents a perspec tive view of a. paper-shell cartridge embodying my design.
My invention relates to a design for papershell cartridges; and it consists in the appearance hereinafter described, and shown in the accompanying illustration.
As he rein shown, my newly-designed papershell cartridge comprises a cap A and a body B, the cap having circumferential grooves u and a rim or base-flange a. The number of the grooves a and their particular location may vary, but they constitute the leading and essential feature of my design.
Having fully described my new and original design, what I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The design for a paper-shell cartridge, as herein described and shown in the accompanying illustration.
