DESIGN FOR A CURTAIN-POLE BRACKET.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 25,273, dated March 24, 1896.
Application filed February 10, 1896. Serial No. 578,800. Term of patent 7 years To all whom it may concern.-
lle it known that 1, CHARLES W. SMITH, a citizen of the United States, residing at Oak Park, in the county of Cook and State of Illinois, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Curtain-Pole Brackets, of which the following, in connection with the accompanying drawings, is a full, clear, and exact specification.
In the said drawings, Figure 1 is a face View of a curtain-pole bracket embodying my design, and Fig. 2 is a side elevation thereof.
The leading features of my design consist of a knob or hub-like portion A, having port ions radiating therefrom and apparentlysupported by said radiating portions. lhe said radiating portions, which apparently support the ring B on the hub-like portion A, consist of a series of spherical portions 0, arranged between the portions A and B, and arranged on the outer periphery of the ringB and substantially opposite or in a radial line with each of the portions C is a pear-shaped portion D, having its attenuated or smaller end projecting outward. The portion A is spheroidal, and from its outer end projects a pinnacle E, while at the inner or other side of the portion A is formed a second spheroidal portion F, as shown in Fig. 2, and in which is formed the socket G for the curtain-pole, which socket may be angular, as shown in full lines, or circular, as shown in dotted lines.
