To all whom 'it may concern: p l
Be it known that I, ALICE M. S'rovan, a citizen of the United States,l residing at Guthrie Center, in the county of Guthrie and State of Iowa, have invented a new and use,-
ful Rotatable Table, of which the following lifting or handling the dishes, food and the like upon the table. Y
My invention consists in the construction, arrangement and combination of parts as hereinafter set forth, pointed out. in my y claims and illustrated in the accompanying and drawings in which:-
Fi rel is a perspective view of the table ig.- 2 a vertical sectional view that shows the forms of different arts and the manner of vdetachably com ining them.
. Figs.- 3 and 4 show a modification 1n which thereis a stationary part surroundin the rotatable centralportion. Fi 5 is a etail a circular metal plate 12 formed with an integral central. chamber -13 on its lower surface and a bolt hole in its center. A bolt 14, screw-threaded at its ends and provided with a collar 15 on its middle portiony to produce annular shoulders 16 and 17, is extended up through the bolt hole in the bottom of the chamber 13 and secured to said chamber `by a nut 14a. A base, preferably formed complete in one piece by molding, is provided and consists oflegs 18 and a circular head 19 having a central bolt hole to admit the lower end of the bolt '14'. A cylindrical frustum-shaped hollow casting 20 is tted on the top of the head 19 of the base and is provided with an a erture in its lower end for the passa e of lt e bolt 14. The lower end portion'o the bolt -14 also extends through the head 19 and 1s secured thereto by an'ut 21. The annular of the casting 2O is provided with a contxnuous annularhgroove 22 adapted to con- To the v shown in Fig. 2. A stationary circularlrim 24 may be mounted circumferentially of and surroundthe rotatable central table 10 and be supported by braces 25 fixed thereto and to the hollow casting 20 as shown in Fig. 4, orjin any suitable way that will retain said rim stationary while-the central part 10 is rotated. as required to bring dishes and food thereon Within reach of guests around the table. All the parts are thus securely combined in such a manner that the to 10 can be'rotated intermittently in either 'rection at pleasure while the base stands firm upon the Hoor. f
Having thus set forth the purposes of my invention, its construction and manner of use, the practical operation and utility there of will be obvious.
