Description

DESIGN.
STOVE.
No. 23,855. Patented Dec. 4, 1894;
WITNESSES 17V VEJV 7'05? By WW HQ 4 M flfiorneys.
UNITED STATES PATENT- OFFICE.
LEE PECK, OF LANSING, MICHIGAN.
DESIGN FOR A STOVE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 23,855, dated December 4, 1894.
Application filed October 24,1894- Serial No 526,884. Term of patent 7 years.
ing drawing, which forms a part of this speci-- fication.
The drawing shows my newly designed stove in perspective, showing the front and one side, the opposite side being exactly similar to the one shown, and the back being plain. The general design of the top is also shown in the drawing.
The leading features of my design consist in the square form, the ornamental, tubular top, the bracket supports to the top, and the bracket form of the supporting legs.
In the drawing, A indicates the body of the stove, of which the side a and the side opposite a are plain from top to bottom, except that about midway between the top and the bottom there is attached an ornamental handle b on the one side, and c on the other side. The top (1 projects over the side walls, or overhangs, and is finished with a perforated scrollwork. On the front side are two doors E and F, both of which are made in the form of very obliquely truncated pyramids, and above the upper door is an ornamental register perforated and finished with scroll-work. At each of the four corners immediately below the tubular cover 01 is a scroll-work bracket, indicated at g, h, andi; and at each of the lower corners is a scroll-work bracket 10,1, m. The
lower brackets extend up along the corners a distance, and extend'below the bottom of the body of the stove, and terminate with the easters upon which the stove is moved.
The entire stove thus fashioned presents to the eye the appearance of a rectangular prism supported on ornamental bracket-shaped legs, and bearing at its summit an ornamental, tubular covering.
What I claim is The design for a stove, substantially as shown and described.
In testimony whereof I sign this specification in the presence of two witnesses.
LEE PEGK.
