UNITED STATES PATENT OEEicE,

DESIGN FOR A SUPPORT FOR VASES, 86C.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 23,250, dated May 8, 1894. Application filed March 27. 1894- Serial No. 505,340. Term cfprttent 7 years.
7 (1/! who/1t it: may concern;
lie it known that I, ALBERT Wanna, Jr., a citizen of the United States, residing atIIollflhell, in the county of Hudson and State of New Jersey, have invented and produced a new and original Design for an Ornamental Support for Vases and Like Purposes, of which the following is a specification.
Reference is to be had to the accompanying drawings forming a part of this specification, in which similar letters of reference indicate corresponding parts in both the figures.
Figure 1 is a perspective View; and Fig. 2 is a reverse plan view of the ornamental base or support, these two views being considered necessary to fully illustrate my design.
The leading feature of my design consists in the continuous leaf-like effects 10, that are in wreath-form, and are shaped to project a series of crisps 11 and tendrils 13 upwardly at intervals, joining a ring-like margin 13 at the top of the base,or thisring maybe omitted and the crisps join the side of a vase orother l l I fancy hollow receptacleofany form. The depending crispate members 14 of the base are given a graceful outward curvature at the lower portion of the same, and appear at intervals, these being the feet of the base or support. On the top of the ring margin 13, a mirror-like effect 15 may be produced, but this is not an important feature of the design, which essentially consists of the continuous wreath-like base 10, the depending crispato members 14 of which are feet fortlle base, and the leaflets ll, interspersed with the tcndrils 12, that together afford a chaste, unique, and ornate base for other articles of virtu.
I claim- The design for an ornamental support for vases and other receptacles, herein shown and described.
