DESIGN FOR A PLAQUE.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design N 0. 22,600, dated July 1 1, 1893. Application filed June 14, 1393. Serial No. 477,599. Term of patent 3% years.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, JOSEPH A. GOLDSTEIN, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of \Vashington, in the District of Columbia, have invented and produced a new and useful Design for the Ornamentation of Plaques, of which the following is a specification.

My invention relates to a new design for the ornamentation of plaques, which While serving as an ornament, may likewise be used as card receivers, being dished for the purpose.

In order that my invention may be fully understood I will describe it with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which- Figure I is a top View of my plaque. Fig. II is a section on the line II II Fig. I.

The shape of the perimeter of my plaque is approximately circular, and is ornamented by a bordering scroll of wavy form, broken at intervals and rolled inward as at 2, and forming in connection with other interior radial scrolls 3, and a central approximately circular scroll 4, a number of field grounds 1, 2, 3, 4:, 5, 6 and 7. Within these fields and suitably arranged is a series of views. I have illustrated on the plaque in various phases, the Worlds Columbian Exposition, the central figure being a portrait of Columbus and the surrounding spaces being occupied by views of different buildings.

I claim- The design for the ornamentation of a plaque or similar article substantially as here in shown.
