WITNESSES INVENTO'FK;
q 4mm C. M m- ATTORNEY UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE,
HARRY O. MONTGOMERY, OF CLEVELAND, OHIO.
DESIGN FOR A SOLE FOR BOOTS OR SHOES.-
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 22,326, dated April 4, 1893.
Application filed February 25, 1893- Serial No. 463,761. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, HARRY O. MONTGOMERY, a citizen of the United States, residing at Cleveland, county of Ouyahoga, and State of Ohio, have invented and produced a new and useful Design in Detachable Soles for Boots or Shoes, and the following is a specification thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, which show my newly-designed sole.
Figure 1 is a perspective View of my new design in detachable boot or shoe soles, and Fig. 2 is a cross section thereof.
The design consists more especially in the configuration of the sole when viewed from the bottom, substantially as shown in Fig. 1.
A represents the flat surface of the web of the sole, which comes next to the sole of the shoe, and B the continuous and unbroken rib which stands out from the said web as shown and forms the lower or wearing surface.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The design for detachable soles for boots and shoes, substantially as shown and described.
HARRY C. MONTGOMERY.
