DESIGN FOR A CORSET.
SPECIFICATION formingpart of Design No. 21,544, dated May 1'7, 1892. Application filed November 30, 1891. Serial No. 413,601. Term of patent 3% years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, SOLON BRYANT, of \Vorcester, in the county of \Vorcester and State of hlassaehusetts, have invented a new Design for Corsets; and I do hereby declare the following, when taken in connection with accompanying drawings and the letters of reference marked thereon, to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, and which said drawing constitutes part of this specification, and represents a perspective side view.
This invention relates to a design for the ornamention of a corset, with special reference to the side portions thereof; and it consists in the ornamentation of the corset as shown in the accompanying illustration On the side or hip portion A of the corset is the representation of a series of vertical ribs starting from the lower edge of the corset and rnnnin g up to about the waist-line, there divided, the two parts diverging, one portion represented as running toward the front and the other portion represented as running toward the rear to the upper edge of the side. At the lower edge of the corset and each side of the said central ribs is the representation of gores D E, presenting the appearance of a series of transverse ribs contracting in length until they die out at about the waist-line, as at b c.
B represents the rear portion, and C the front portion, of the corset.
