SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 17,049, dated January 4, 1887. Application filed November 271, 1886. Serial No. 219.727. Term of patent 14 years.

.To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, HORACE H. Unman- DEN, of New Haven, in the county of New Haven and State of Connecticut, have invented a new Design for Corsets; and I do hereby declare the following, when taken in connection with accompanying drawing and the letters of reference marked thereon, to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, and which said drawing constitutes part 01 1 this specification, and represents a side view ofacorset. shnwing the design of the hipsection.

This invention relates to a design for corsets, having special reference to the side of the corset;

In theillustration, A represents the rear sec- "vertical dmnd, D, 'iepresented "as extended from top tobottom, and over the band C, at the rear edge of the hip-section, is the representation of a like band, B, extending from top to bottom, and represented as overlapping the band C. On the bands 0, D, and E is the representation of several lines parallel with the edges of the respective hands; but these lines may be varied or omitted without departing from the design.

The shape or ornamentation of the front and rear sections is immaterial to thisdesign.
