SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 20,702, dated April 28, 1891.

5 a Design for a Font of Type, of which the following is a specification.

My design for a font of type is clearlyillustrated in the accompanying typographical impression, in which is shown the upper caseand no lower case of type, together with the numerals.

The general character of the design is that of a solid fancy type, the special featn res being the double cross-lines and the finishing of some of the letters, giving the peculiar eifect clearly The face of each letter is elongated vertically and is solid. The cross-bar of the letterAis composed of two lines slightlycurved, and the cross-bar of the letter'H is likewise slightly curved and 20 arranged above the center of the letter, while the lower portions of the letters 0, J, L, and S finish ina scroll. Each corner of a square letter projects to a point or fin, as clearly shown, and the lower line of the upperloop of the letter Bis inclined, as well as the lower line of the loop of the letters P and R. The letters of the lower case. the letters of the upper case.

I claim The design foratont of type,substantially as herein described, and as shown in the accompanying typographical impression.
