DESIGN FOR A STAlR-CARPET BUTTON.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 19,366, dated October 22, 1889.
Application filed September 25, 1889. Serial No. 325,081. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be itknown that I, DAVID VVALKER,a citizen of the United States, residing at Newark, in the county of Essex and State of New Jersey, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Stair-Carpet Fasteners; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to letters of reference marked thereon,which form a part of this specification.
Figure 1 is a front view of a stair-carpet fastener; and Figs. 2 and 3 are sectional views of the same, taken through line x, cmbracing my design.
The leading feature of the design consists of a stair-carpet fastener having the con figuration hereinafter described.
a indicates the centerof the fastener, which, when viewed endwisais shown to be convex on its outer face and triangular in general outline. At the sides of said convex center part the fastener tapers, as at c 0, toward the ends. At the upper and lower edges the fast ener is provided with flange-like configurations b b.
hat I claim is- The design for a stair-carpet fastener herein shown and described, comprising a stair-carpet fastener which is convex at the center, tapering toward the ends, as at c c, and flangelike at the edges, substantially as set forth.
