SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 19,081, dated May 7 1889.

To ail whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, RUDOLPH GNIGHVVITZ, a citizen of the United States, residing at Ashbourne, in the county of Montgomery and State of Pennsylvania, have invented and pro duced anew and original Design for a Font of Printing-Type, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part thereof.

The leading features of my design for a font of printing-type are the heavy lines of the horizontal port-ions of the various letters, figures, and characters and finc lines of the vertical portion thereof, thelowcr-case having is the fine lines of the vertical portion coming to a fine point and the cross-dash of nearly all the said letters omitted, the letters of the upper-case having downward extension, being as shown in A, F, &c., the letters D and L having 0, our], as shown, at the top portion thereof, and the letter T having a top curved portion, as shown.

In the accompanying drawing, which represents the letters and characters of a. font of type according to my design, the several letters and characters have the respective features as heretofore set forth.

I claim- The design for a font of type, consisting of the letters and characters having the respective features and form as herein shown and described.
