SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 18,782, dated December 4, 1888.
Application filed November 8, 1838. Serial No. 290,332. Termnf patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
lle it known that l, FREDERICK R. KAI,- DENBERG, a citizen of the United States, residing at New York, in the county and State of New York, have in vented and produced a. new and original Design for Cane-Handles, of which the following is a clear and exact specifieation, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming a part thereof, and which is a side elevation of a eanehandle, showing my new design.
The leading features of my design consist in the peculiar configuration of the handle and the raised floral and headed ornamentation.
a is the handle, which has an irregular outline and tapers to the outer end. 1) is a raised line crossing the same about midway of its length, and terminating at each end thereof in a scroll or volute, c c, forming an Sshaped figure. \Vithin and following this outline is a ribbed line, 6. \Vithin the larger scroll, c,

()n the upper part of the handle is a leaflike figure, 74, havingbelow it a scalloped ontlinc, i, surrounding a ribbed surface, 1'.
Z I are raised figures of a fan shape spreading out at the top, and between these figures is a small volute, 272, formed of a plain and a headed line and having a central embossment, 1:.
Midway of the S-shaped figure springs a headed line, 0, which forms the contour-line on the lower edge of the tapered end of the handle, which line is lostiin the Yolute e.
