Application filed December 17, 1887. Serial No. 258,379. Term of patent 7 years.
.To aZZ whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, OLIVER HAZEN Musrz, a citizen of the United States, residing at Greenville, in the county of Mercer and State of Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Heme-Clips; and I do declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of thcsame. reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.
Figure 1 is a front view of my newly-designed hame-olip. Fig. 2 shows the configuration of the edge of the same.
The leading feature of my design consists in a raised or scalloped blade having outlines somewhat resembling aserrated stiletto-blade, which, when viewed in front, is terminated at its upper end by a narrow hilt-extension having parallel sides and a rounded upper ter' minus.
A is the center of the blade, which is convex when taken transversely at all points from the base of the hilt B ata to the apex or point at b. From the base of the hilt to the point a of the guard the configuration is concave, and from the points 0 to the points cl is a line of beauty forming a swell, d, on each side of the blade, and between the swells cl and points 0 and e are concave lines. From the points e to the point of the blade are two cyniae rectze, forming a contour representing an elongated point of a blade.
I claim- The design for ahame-clip herein described and shown, the same consisting of a rounded hilt, B, and a blade, A, composed of scallops terminated by a double cyma point.
In testimony whereof I afiix my signature in presence of two witnesses.
