ie it known that I, Wwrnnor L. Jaeons, of East Orange, New Jersey, have invented a new and original Design for Carpets, of which the following is a speeiiiez'ltion, reference being had to the accompanying photograph, which ['orms a part of the same.
The invention relates to a design to he worked into or upon surfaces, such as carpets or similar fabrics; and iteonsists in thenovel configuration and grouping oi iigurcs herein specifically shown and claimed.
The accompanying phot( )graph is a face View of a carpet, showing my new design.
The main feature of the design consists in the elosclygronpcd irregular]y-shaped corallike figures, as shown in the photograph. The more important ones of them are rcspeelivel i I I Term of strut 3; years.
marked A, B, C, 1), E, 11, (i, H, and J in the photograph. They are all of nearly the same general mass size, but difl'er in shape and in the character of coral-like ornamentation and outline and coral-like connected projecting parts. The figures are all clearly shown in detail in the photograph.
XVhat I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The design for carpets, consisting of the coral-like figures A, 1%, (1,1), 1), EH, H, and J, and the other coral-like figures, substantially as shown and described.
