DESIGN FOR A WATCH-CASE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No.17,104, dated February 8, 1887.
A pplication filed Octcber 18, 1886. Serial No. 216,591.

Be itknown that I, PAUL STUCIIEE, of Brooklyn, in the county of Kings and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Watcl1-Oases or Lockets, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof, in which Figure l represents a faceview of my newlydesigned watch-case, and Fig. 2 is a cross-see tional View on the line a: a of Fig. 1.
The leading feature of the present design consists of a case wherein one section is scalloped, while another section is bassine, these two sections being preferably defined by an ornamental band, asillustrated. y
In the drawings, A represents the scalloped section, the scallops extending across the periphery of the case, B the plain or bassine section, and O the ornamental band between the two sections, thc scalloped section A and the band O being engraved in any manner desired.
I use the word bassinei7 as the same is used in the trade`viz., to designate a watch in which the edge of the case is rounded.

Having thus fully described iny invention, ll.' claim asi new and desire to secure by Letters Patent- 1. The design fora watclrcasc herein shown and described, the same consisting in a transversely-divided case, one section of which is plain and the other scalloped, as set forth.
2. The design for a watchcase herein shown and described, thesanie consisting ofthe upper plain section of bassine contour and the lower scalloped section, as set forth.
The design for a watch-case herein shown and described, the same consisting of a seal4 loped and a bassine section that are delined by an intermediate ornamental band, substantially as described.
4. The design fora watchcase herein shown and described, the same consisting of a plain section and an engraved peripherally-scalloped section, the two sections being donned by an ornamental band.
