York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Bottle, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part thereof, which drawing is a perspective view of a bottle containing my said design.
A is the body of the bottle, and rectangular;
in shape, and of plain configuration for most of its height, and B is the neck. The bottom of the neck terminates in a circular bead, C. The shoulder connecting the body with the neck has the general form of a rectangular dome, and is formed of ribs or flutings I) E, which are convex on the outside, and which curve outward for a short distance, and then curve inward and toward the circular bead (l, upon reaching which they terminate. The
ribs E are considerably narrower than the others, D, and are not put side by side; but one of the ribs D is placed between each two of them. The bottoms of the ribs rest on the Term ol' patent it yeais.

\Vhat I claim as my design, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
1. In a design for a bottle, the body A, surmounted by the bead F, the tluted shoulder, and the neck 1;, having the bead C, as described and shown.
2. In a design for a bottle, the plain body portion A, surmounted by the fluted shoulder having a rectangular base and converging toward the neck, as described and shown.
