Be it known that I, STEPHEN S. NEWTON, a citizen of the United States, residing at Brooklyn, in the county of Kings and State of New York, haveinvented acertain new and original Design for Bottle-Stoppers, ot' which the fol-` lowing is a specification, reference being had therein to the accompanying drawing.

My invention relatesto a novel designl for a stopper adapted to close bottles, flasks, and similar articles.

The design consists in the stopper or upper part thereof in the shape of a tulip.

This design may be given to whatever material is used to form the stopper, and represents, essentially, a dowershaped cap for the stopper, and thiscap may be made in the shape of a. deep cup, with the petals B or C, or both, of dierent heights and in two rows projecting upward from the base A. The edge of the flower or the ends of the petals will form a scalloped circumference tol the riml or flange around thecnp.

I am aware ot Design Patent No. 7,871,` for an inkstand, and do not claim: anything there in shown.

I am aware of DesignPatentlNo. 1,096;` to Smith, and do not claim anything therein shown; but

What I claim isM The design for bcttle-stoppers herein shown and described, consisting of a rim or ange around the cap in the formi of the petals of a ower, said petals extending outward from the neck of the stopper as from a stern.
