DESIGN FOR MONUMENTS OF EGYPTIAN OBELISKS.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 11,755, dated April 27,-1880.
Application filed March 22, 1880.
To all whom it may concern:
ie it known that l, ltIon'Ann BUSllGlCD, of Brooklyn, in the county of Kings and State of New York, have originated and invented a new and useful. Design for Monuments of jlflgyptian Obelisks; and 1. do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part of this specification.
Figure 1 is a perspective view of my menument, and Fig. 2 a plan view of the same.
The obelisk mounted upon a pedestal, (1, consisting of four steps. The corners of the upper three of these steps are ornamented and concealed by corniees A. Upon these eornices are mounted pedestals b, with candlesticks, four in number. In practice it will be preferable to have electric lights at the tops of these candlesticks, and also an electric light at the top of the obelisk. At the four corners of the pedestal are the pedestals B G 1) E. The first three may have any figures or designs, and the last one, E, a globe, F, with an American eagle, G, perched upon the globe. Four fountains, 9, will also be arranged around Term of patent 7 years.

What I claim as my design is- The design for ornamenting an obelisk, consisting of seven steps as a pedestal, a, for the same, four corniees, A, concealing the corners of the upper three steps of pedestal, the four pedestals on said corniees, the eandlestieks upon. these pedestals, the eorner-per'jlestals B U I) E, the globe and eagle on pedestal G, the four surrounding fountains g, the palisade H, and the four pedestals I, at points equidistant from each other along the palisade, substantially as shown.
