DESIGN FOR WATCH-CROWNS.

To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, EMIL HUNZIKER, of Jersey City, in the county of Hudson and State of New Jersey, have invented a Design for Crowns for Stems of Stem-Winding Watches or PressureStem Watches, of which the following is a specification.

The nature of my design is represented in the accompanying drawings.

Figure 1 is a side elevation of the crown. Fig. 2 is a plan of the same with a plain center, and Fig. 3 is a plan of the same with an ornamental center.

Heretofore crowns for stem-winding and pressure-stem watches have ordinarily been made with peripheral vertical grooves extending from the top to the under side of the crown.

The leading feature of my design consists in spiral peripheral grooves extending from the top to the under side of the crown, as shown in the drawings.

A is the hollow stem of the crown, designed to fit upon the stem of the watch. B is the rounded head of the crown, whose center is slightly raised, and outlined and defined by a deeply-indented circle or groove, from the edge of which circle to the under lower edge of the crown extend spiral grooves a.

The centerb of the crown, which is inclosed reference indicate correin the circular groove 0, projects upward slightly, and may be plain, as shown in Fig. 2, or ornamented with a star, d, as shown in Fig. 3, or have any other suitable design.
