Be it known that I, J AoQUEs LAURENT, of the city, county, and State ot'New York. have invented enV Improved Design ior Watch- Oases, of which the following is s i'nll, clear, and exact description, reference being hud to the accompanying drawing, making pel-t of this specification.

The nature of my design is fully represented in the accompanying drmving, to which reti erence is made.

Figure 1 represents a. sectional View of the band of a watch-case, taken in u plane parallel with the fece of the latter, and showing my improved design. Fig. 2 is an exterior View of the case, as seen from the outer side or face of one of its caps.

A represents the bend of' the Watch-case, and B one of its caps. Both the bend and caps are of a like profile, and give the general contour of the watch-case en approximately oval appearance, as viewed from the face and back ofthe case. Thus the hand A, which is for the most part of circular form on its exterior, as at a a, is ornamented by opposite convex projections b b at the top and bottom of the bond, Itud smaller projections c c et both ends of said larger convex projections b b, Where the latterjoin or meet the circular outer contour or profile, of the bend. Either cap B is ot' e like proiile, with the exception that its lower projection I) has its con vexity slightly flattened, and like letters ot' reference indicate like parts in both tignres of the drawing.

The caps Indy be ornamented on their face by any desired design engraved or otherwise made thereon, my improved design not relating thereto, but consisting in the outer protile of the case, as viewed from the foce and back ofthe latter.

I claim- The design for e watch-ease, consisting of the band A and caps ot' oval profile, und the rounded protuberauces c, near the top and bottom of the lmnd und caps, substantially as shown :ind described.
