The nature of my design is fully represented in the accompanying drawings, to which referenee is made, and in which- Figure lis a face view of a fastener illustrating my design. Fig. 2 is a side View of the same opened. Fig. 3 is a face View of the lower plate.
Similar letters of reference indicate corresponding parts.
The top plate of the fastener is formed of the ring A and the bar B. The ring A is convex or semi-oylindrieal, and the bar B is also convex, and is tapered. rlhe smaller end of the bar B is represented as joined to the inner side of the ring A, and its wider end crosses the other side of the ring A, and projects at the outer side ofthe said ring A. Upon l the projecting end of the bar B is formed the representation of a knob or ball. rlhe lower plate, O, of the fastener is made with a downward-projecting` edge, which may be inclined or vertical. The surface ofthe lower plate, C, between its lower forward part and its upper rear part, is concaved, as shown in Figs. 2 and 3.
I claim as my invention- A design for the upper plate of a pocketbook fastener, formed of the ring A, made convex, and the bar B, made convex and tapered, its smaller end being represented as meeting the inner side of the ring A, and its wider end beingrepresented as crossing the other side of the ring A, projecting at its outer side, and having a knob or ball formed upon it, substantially as herein shown and described.
