DESIGN FOR A STANDING COLLAR.
Specification forming part of Design No. 11,018, dated February 11, 1879; application tiled January 3, 1879.

Be it known that I, GEORGE P. IDE, of the city of Troy, in the county of Rensselaer and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Ornamental Design for Standing Collars for Gentleinenis and Lav dies Wear, of which the following is a speciication, reference being` had to the accompa` nying drawings, in Which- Figure 1 is an elevation of the outer side of a collar which embodies this invention; and Figs. 2, 3, and 4 are sections of' the saine at the lines z z, yy, and m x, respectively.
This invention consists in the new design for the outer side of a standing collar, the saine being composed of the face portion A, band portion B, and intervening straight united ribs C C, inclinedto each other and formin g the obtuse angle D, all combined so as to present the new and distinctly stylish appearance indicated in the aforesaid drawings, the outer edges of the face' portion A and band part B being of the usual or any suitable shapes, and the ribs O O and the outer border of the. collar being with or without conspicuous rows ot stitching.
