ROBERT MIDDELDORF, OF SOLINGEN, GERMANY.
CASE FOR SAFETY-RAZORS.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, ROBERT MIDDELDORF, a subject of the German Emperor, and resident of Solingen, Germany, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Cases for Safety-Razors, of which the following is a specication.
This invention relates to an improved case for safety-razors, and its object is to provide the case with a number of separate compartments: one for the reception of the razor, another one for the blades, and another two or more compartments for the reception of the brush, soap, cup or other shaving utensils, all the compartments being so disposed that they are perfectly closed toward each other, each having the access to its interior from the outside on a dierent side of the case, so that by these means penetration of moisture from the brush or the like into the compartments containing the razor and the blades is perfectly avoided.
The accompanying drawing shows the improved case.
Figure 1 is a side view, Fig. Q a front face view, F ig. 3 a plan view, and Fig. 4f a rear face view, of the same, the two latter figures showing the case opened and its cover partly broken away.
Preferably in the front face of the case two, or more, compartments a are formed by corresponding partitions, said compartments being entirely closed toward the inside of the case and open toward the outside on the front face of the same. In the rear face of the case the compartment Z2 for the blades is formed by a corresponding partition, said compartments being also entirely closed toward the inside of the case and open toward the outside on the rear face of the same.
The compartment for the safety-razor lies between the compartments a and b, it being open toward the outside on the top side of ease.
Specification of Letters Patent.
Application 1ed June 10, 1909.
Patented J une 14, 1910.
serial No. 501,438.
To the bottom of the rear face of the case a cover c is hinged, whichis preferably of iiexible material and so arranged that when closed it covers the top of the case as well as the openings of the compartments for the blades and the other utensils. In closed position the cover is held by means of a pressbutton l arranged on the bottom of the front face of the case. Besides, another press-button e is provided which serves to separately keep the cover closed over the compartment for the blades only, so that it can be opened to uncover the top of the case and the other compartments a for the removal of the razor and shaving utensils, whereby a falling-out of the blades is prevented.
Having fully described my invention, what I claim and desire to secure by Letters Patent is A case for safety-razors, comprising in combination, the case proper a number of partitions within said case forming separate compartments therein: one for the razor, another one for Athe blades, and another pair for other shaving utensils, a cover of flexible material to close said compartments, and means to keep said cover in closed position over all compartments as well as separately over the compartment for the blades only, all the compartments being entirely closed toward each other and each having the access to its interior from the outside on a different. side of the oase, for the purpose set forth.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand in the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
