To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, ROBERT B. MONT- GOMERY, a citizen of the United States, residing at Minter, in the county of Lamar and State of Texas, have invented new and useful Improvements in Cotton Picking Sacks and Holders, of which the following is a specification.

This invention is an improved sack for use by cotton pickers in the Held for holding the picked cotton and in which the picked cotton may be weighed, the said invention consisting in the construction and arrangement of devices hereinafter described and claimed.

ln the accompanying drawing-Figure l is a front elevation of my improved sack showing` the same in position on the user. Fig. 2 is a detail elevation of the sack, from the rear side.

The sack 1 which may be made of any suitable material is here shown as rectangular in form and its mouth is provided at one side with. buttons 2 and in the opposite side with button holes 3. Rings it are attached to one side of the sack at the upper and lower ends thereof to facilitate the handling of the sack and to enable it to be readily hung up for weighing, together with its contents. One side of the sack at its upper end is attached to a belt 5 which passes around the waist of the wearer and user. Loops 6 are also provided to pass over the shoulders of the user, each loop having one end attached to the belt near its center and the other end attached thereto at a point near one upper corner of the sack. The said loops bear on the breast of the user and their lower front portions are eounected together by laces 7 to admit of adjustment of the lower front portions of the loops toward and from each other as may be required. Crotch loops 8 are also provided which have their ends attached to the belt at points near the upper corners of the sack and at points between the ends of the shoulder loops and each of the said crotch loops is provided with a buckle 9 whereby it may be adjusted.

llt will be understood from the foregoing` and by reference to the drawings, particularly Fig. 1, that the belt attaches the upper end of the sack to the body of the wearer, the shoulder loops support the weight of the sack and its contents and the crotch loops serve to prevent the sack from shifting on the body of the wearer and hence the sack is firmly and securely held in place and is rendered exceedingly comfortable to the user and wearer. The mouth of the sack is open and is kept at a point where it may be readily reached by the wearer as the cotton is picked and after the sack is filled it may, if desired, be closed by means of the buttons and button holes and other fastening devices with which it may be provided aud together with its contents, may if de sired be weighed, this being facilitated by the rings 41s.

The herein described apparatus eomprising a sack, a belt to the front side of which the upper end of the sack is attached, shoulder loops having;- their lower ends also attached to the -front side ot the belt, and crotch loops havingtheir upper ends at'- taehed to the front side of the belt.

The herein described apparatus comprising a sack, a belt to the 'trout side of which the upper end of the sack is attached, shoulder loops having" their lower ends also attached to the front side of the belt, and crotch loops havingl their upper ends attaehed to the front side of the belt, said shoulder loops having adjusting means connecting them together.
