Be it known that I, CARRIE BROWNELL AVERILL, a citizen of the United States, re-
siding at Fort Wayne, in the county of Allen and State of Indiana, have invented v new .and useful Improvements in Baby- Carriers,

It is my intention that the carrier be supported from a person in such manner that therewill be no undue strain upon the body. It will be seen that I have provided an exceedingly simple, yet eflicient carrier by means of which the child is supported in a natural and comfortable position-and is kept from falling orslipping from the carrier by means of the divided strap passing between the limbs and buckling to the back of the seat on each side, while it is kept erect by'the waist strap passing acrossthe breast and around the waist of the person carrying the child. It will further be seen that the child may be carried while the person is walking or sitting, without readjusting, and at the same time both'the hands and the arms are freefor other employment.
