To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, CLARENGEE. Rooms, a citizen of the United States, residing at New York,.in the county of New York and State of New York, have invented" new and useful Improvements in WVindow-Receptacles, of which the following is a specification.
Figure -l is a perspective view of the. re-- ceptacle support with the receptacle carried thereby. Fig. 2 is a sectional end view of the receptacle along line on m Fig. 1. Fig. 3 is across section of Fig. 2 along line 3 3 Fig. 2. Fi 4 is a plan view of the re (-eptacle. Fig. 5 is a section along line 2 z 3. r lnthis drawing is shown a receptacle support this so ort a being formed of fiat metal and 0 ll shape or approximately so. The part of the support which engages the window sill 7) is made to sit flat thereon and is made to fit or conform thereto so as practically not'to project from the sill and to offer no obstructionfto the entry of light.
' The forward or free end portions of the support a are ,bent at a quarter t rm to the part resting on the sill so thatthes end portions sit flat or snug against the box or receptacle 0 and readily slip under the overhangs (Z or the portions of the receptacle which sits on the support. The outer end portions of the .support are bent so as to engage the re-' ceptacle or prevent the latter being pushed away from the sill or off the support.
The receptacle is held so as not to appreciably nor to any extent project above the sill but high enough for the interior of the box to be readily accessible from the window when the cover e of the, receptacle 0 is 'opened. This cover is made to overhang the receptacle sufliciently to prevent the Specification of Letters Patent. Patented Dec;

entry of rain or moisture and the bottom of the 'boxhas perforations as seen at f for the purpose of ventilation. An edge of the cover and an edge of the receptacle are beaded and these beads by pins 9 inserted will hinge the cover to the receptacle... The hinge being located away from the sill will allow the cover to open or swing outward so that when the cover is open the contents of the box are readily accessible. The receptacle and support can be made of any suitable material that may be selected. The intent of the receptacle is for preserving -perishable food in winter and a duplicate receptacle can be inserted in the summer and used for garbage, doing away with the tainting of atmosphere in apartments. structure provides a neat, compact, sanitary and easily accessible device. The receptacle could be provided for the insertion and withdrawal of sliding partitions or shelves, if desired. Y
A partition h is shown slipped between guides i. v tically the part I), might be laid as a shelf upon ledges 7c. The partition h is shown in two sections one beaded to the other so that the sections can slip back and forth to contractor expand the partition.
I claim: p
