Be it `known that I, CARL JULIUS GRAF, of Ohicago, in the county of Cook, and State of Illinois, have invented certain new anduseful Improvements in Rocking-Chairs; and- .I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, making part of this specification, and to the letters of reference marked thereon, likeletters indicating lilre parts whereever they occur. Y To enable others skilled in the art to construct and use my invention, Ilwill `proceed to describe it.
My invention relates to rocking-chairs, and consists in attaching -to the under side of theA seat a bellows, havingits lower side hinged, and connected by a rod to an arm, pivoted and arrangedin such a manner as to' operate the bellows asthe chair is rocked, and force a` current of air through a hole in the side-bracket, whence, by means of an elastic pipe, it may be conducted where desired.

To the under side of the seat B,.of a rocking-chair, A, l attach a bellows, O, with its lower -side E hinged at F; and to the'` front end of the hinged side of the bellows, I -pivot thev upper end of a rod, G, and thelower end of the same rod, I pivot to an arm,fH, which is pivotedto the cross-bar, or -brace I, all as clearly shown in the drawing.
The interiorof the bellows C, I `connect in any snitable manner witha hole, or tube, K, in one of the sidebrackets of the chair, as shown by the dotted lines.

Having thus described my invention,
The bellows C, connecting-rod G, and arm H, in combination with a rocking-chair, A, having one of its Aside-brackets tubular, all constructed and arranged as herein described, for the purpose of sending a current of air through the tube L, asset forth.
