Description

PATENTED FEB. 25, 1908 0. M. FOX.
BXPLOSIVE ENGINE.
APPLICATION FILED FEB 11, 1907.
' 1 vwento-a Wt Ma What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent ofthe United States, is:
1. In a device of the class named, the combination with the explosion chamber 2 and exhaust chamber 4, of the Water compart- .ment 10, inclosing the chamber 4, the water chamber 11, communicating with the compartment 10; the reservoir 8, communicat-' mg with the chambers 10 and, 11, and the pipe 15, connecting the chamber 11 and upper part of the reservoirS, substantially as shown and for the purpose set forth.
2. In an explosive engine, the combination with the cylinder 1, ex losion chamber 2, expansion chamber 3 and exhaust chamber 4 thereof, of a reservoir 8, located above said cylinder; :1 water-jacket 9, surrounding the upper part of said cylinder, andopening upwar 1y into the reservoir 8; a water compartment .10, inclosing the exhaust chamber 4, and communicating with the water jacket 9; a water-chamber '11, above t'he chamber 2, and communicating with the water compartmentll and a pipe 15, connecting the chamberll' with the up er part ofthe reservoir Sfsubstantially as s own and described.
In testimony whereof, I affix my signature, I
