  • Methyl 5-amino-2-bromobenzoate (Reference Compound No. 1-(1), 21.0 g, 91.2 mmol) was dissolved in anhydrous dichloromethane (450 mL), triethylamine (19.0 mL, 137 mmol) and acethyl chloride (13.0 mL, 182 mmol) were added dropwise over 30 minutes successively, and then the mixture was stirred at 0° C. for 2 hours.
  • Lithium aluminium hydride (26.0 mg, 0.64 mmol) was suspended in anhydrous tetrahydrofuran (0.5 mL) under nitrogen atmosphere.

  • Ethyl acetate (10 mL), water (10 mL), and 1N aqueous hydrochloride solution (2 mL) were added thereto successively and the mixture was partitioned.
